When it comes to real estate investing, you should buy ahead of the curve. The key to making a smart real estate investment is spotting the deals in the next hottest area before everyone else does. Well, that area is Upstate NY, the Catskills and the areas around them. Just like the Rockefellers and Vanderbilts did a Century ago, the smart NYC Metro buyers today are making real estate investments upstate. Now is the time for you to buy while there are still bargains to be found! You will learn about:

  • Which upstate areas are hot
  • Where to find the best deals and what to avoid
  • Buying property for investment or a second income
  • Average prices
  • Buying multi-family homes
  • Commercial Buildings
  • Fixer-uppers
  • Raw land
  • Finance options, institutional or privately held mortgages
    And much more…
The class features special guest New Yorkers who have transitioned from the City to the Upstate area. Many have maintained their relationship to the City while enjoying the benefits of ownership Upstate within commuting distance to the City. Their combined experience includes renting, buying, tele-commuting, renovating, building, and starting a new business. Hear how they did it!

This class is taught by Paul McGinniss of Paul McGinniss & Associates, a New York State Licensed Real Estate Broker. Paul began his real estate training in Sag Harbor, New York, "the Hamptons", where he grew up. For over a decade he focused on both commercial and residential real estate transactions where he still advises buyers and sellers. Paul joined the Ulster County, New York Board of Realtors and the Ulster County Multiple Listing Service and opened an office in Ulster County several years ago after spending many years going upstate and exploring the Catskills and the Hudson Valley. Paul is ably assisted by his New York State Licensed Real Estate Agent, Joseph Walker, with whom he has collaborated at an entrepreneurial level for the past twenty years.
